Services We Provide

ASD/ADHD RTC

Right to Choose

Are you looking for an ADHD or Autism assessment for you or your child? You no longer need to see a GP to have a referral sent.

The way we send referrals for Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) has changed.

Owing to the unfortunately long waiting lists to access the local diagnostic service, the NHS has commissioned private providers across the country to provide this service, so that patients can be assessed by a qualified specialist sooner than was previously possible. This is accessed via the NHS Right to Choose service.

You do not need to see a GP in order to be referred to an ASD or ADHD specialist for assessment.

If you would like you, or your child, to be referred for an ASD or ADHD assessment, all you need to do is provide us with 3 pieces of information:

1.    An up-to-date email address. This is how you will be contacted about your referral

2.    Whether the referral is to be assessed for Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or both

3.    The name of the provider you would like to be referred to

The ADHD UK website has an up to date list of all available providers under the right to choose scheme, as well as estimated waiting times:

When you know which provider you would like to be referred to, you can speak to one of our receptionists, or send us an email to sxicb-esx.wealdenridgemp@nhs.net and provide us with these 3 pieces of information.

If you are unsure at all, and would like to discuss things with a GP, you can of course book a routine appointment to do so.
